Cubicles and Ducts

Showers installations are regularly subject to abuse therefore the design brief was to provide a seriously robust installation providing a changing facility in addition to the separate showering area.

The traditional 16mm Trespa was upgraded to 20mm thickness and the headrail was omitted in favour of full height aluminium posts with a thickened wall to provide additional rigidity. The post was secured to the floor with a bespoke interface and secured above the false ceiling.

The false ceiling was also in Trespa with a bespoke aluminium trim. The ceiling panels and posts were secured to the vaulted ceiling within the ceiling void area.

An unusual requirement was that the only access to the ducts was through the duct wall that housed the shower heads. This required the creation of a watertight seal to the door but also with the facility to replace the seal for periodic maintenance.

Duct Panelling

Trespa is an ideal product for use as duct panels. The hard wearing surface allows deep cleaning without fear of delamination of panels or lipping which is often a problem with conventional high pressure laminate panels.

There is an increasing need to provide grab rails and the like. The images show a range of aids that can be incorporated into our duct panelling systems. It is essential however that adequate bracing is built into the frameworks to ensure that rails will provide adequate support in both the short and long term.

Below is a series of images showing our range of duct panelling.
